Geopark Archeology Interpretation Center

It was formerly the Archaeological Museum of Berzocana. It was initiated from the materials that were being rescued in the archaeological excavations carried out by the University in the Roman Necropolis of Valhondo.

The Center displays an exhibition of archaeological remains that cover all the historical periods, as well as some reproductions that complete important aspects of the times.

This building was formerly the schools, then the library. It has been refurbished as a whole, especially the ceiling, which gives it a very marked style.

It highlights a replica of the Torques de Oro and the grave goods of the tombs. Informative panels help us to interpret the exposed remains.

The first floor of the building has a recreation of a cave where a video about cave paintings is projected.

There is also an interesting exhibition of Ídolos Placa de Extremadura and the Venus de Europa, both are reproductions made by students of Fine Arts and donated to the City Council.
