Dating ranges from the Chalcolithic to the Bronze Age, from 4000 to 1000 years BC.
They belong to the type of Schematic Paintings of the South-West. The highest concentration is located just above the town, where there are three caves, very close to each other.
Access to all of them is not difficult and is properly signposted. It can be reached from the Finca de la Sierra Rural House, along the road that leads to the Botanical Garden.
After Cañamero is the municipality with more concentration of paintings of this type in the Villuercas, which is the same as saying of all Extremadura.
